Project Overview
Project Brief: Modern conversion of derelict terrace HMO into 4 x 1 bed flats
Timescale: 6 Months
Work carried out: The existing period house in coastal hotspot of Scarborough was bought by the client to split into four x one bedroom apartments, finished to the highest of specifications.
- Completely gutted and stripped back exposing the original structure and damaged walls and ceilings, which needed to be made not just good but perfect!
- Installed a new roof, as well as reinforcement of all floors.
- To help create the required living areas the apartments needed, walls were knocked through and rebuilt, dividing the property to its new configuration.
- The project required major electrical work – each apartment received new wiring, ensuring a separate incoming electricity supply to each individual dwelling, communal electrical points to common spaces were required, all of which meet today’s relevant building and electric regulation standards.
- Along with installation of new shower rooms, kitchens and floor finishing to each apartment, KT5 ensured the client received a snag free finish to the new development, with a high end quality finish to the interior walls, helping to maximise the sale of each apartment.
